I’ve been wanting to start doing some iOS developing and thought to pick up a couple of good books. While looking around, I came across these two gems:

• Objective-C Programming: The Big Nerd Ranch Guide
• iOS Programming : The Big Nerd Ranch Guide 2nd Edition

I’ve heard of The Big Nerd Ranch. They have these great programming/training retreats that focuses on skills building. The only downside was the cost of flying there and the cost of the courses themselves. So I was quite overjoyed when they started writing books.

I’m currently working through the objective-c book as a refresher on my ‘c’ coding. Once I get through that, I’ll be working through the iOS programming guide.
